"Cookin' in Brooklyn" is on a channel I can never remember the name of. Discovery Home Shopping? Indian Lifetime 2? It's a super low-budget affair hosted by "Knowing Me, Knowing You with" Alan Harding. He's a restauranteur with about a dozen joints in Brooklyn, one of which I eat at regularly. It's a really great place that does simple, right-on stuff. His show, though . . . I dunno. Check out this chili recipe. Seriously. The best part of this show is all the acting. When he "interacts" with local Brooklyn citizens, they all seem to be a blink away from beating the shit out of him. Actually, even the people portraying his friends look like they want to pummel him senseless. A-Haa!
