Anthony Bourdain used to have a show on Food Network called "A Cook's Tour," which was great.  His new show, "No Reservations," on the Travel Channel (hey, there's a Travel Channel!) is similarly excellent, only longer.  It has a lot in common with Dave Attel's show "Insomniac," except with fewer blurred-out body parts.  He travels somewhere (Paris, Sicily, Iceland, New Jersey) and roots down in local ways and cuisine, trying anything suggested to him.  In Vietnam his host tries to describe what animal is being cooked for lunch; the translation is that they'll be eating "squeasel."  And he eats it, too (turns out it was porcupine).  He's a cynical, jaded New Yorker type on the outside, but he's got his mind wide open.  Even if what's offered to him is horrible he's still into it.  He's a hilarious, smartass, hard-drinking, squeasel-eating motherfucker, and he seems to have a great time discovering things and people.  Who wouldn't, really?
